To remove a tick from a dog, you can use a pair of tweezers. You can also use a tick twister or hook. I can assist you in purchasing a tick twister.

Steps for removing a tick

  1. Put on gloves, if you don’t have any consider using poo bags (inside out)
  2. Use water or rubbing alcohol to flatten the fur around the tick
  3. Gently part the fur around the tick
  4. Open the tweezers or tick remover and place the points around the tick
  5. Gently close the tweezers
  6. Rotate the tweezers until the tick pulls away from the skin
  7. Check that the tick has completely released the skin
  8. Dispose of the tick
